CHAGAI: The local administration is considering measures to provide basic facilities to the Afghan refugees living in Girdi Jangal, a refugee camp in Chagai district.

An administrative committee, under the chairmanship of the Chagai deputy commissioner, has been constituted with other officials and tribesmen as members. The committee will suggest possible proposals to address the issue.

An order issued by the deputy commissioner office in Dalbandin stated: “The said committee would meet fortnightly and make visits to the area to ensure the provision of healthcare, drinking water, education, security, livestock and other related facilities to the people in Girdi Jangal.”

“The committee shall recommend and forward rationalised suggestions to the authorities concerned,” it added.
