KARACHI, Aug 20: Following lacklusture performance in the last few meetings, half-bred bay horse Ghori should make amends and start as our day’s best in the Summer Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

After winning two successive races, M. Aslam Khan’s Ghori failed to secure even a place on the past six occasions.

In the Sunday’s meeting, he is pitted against eight horses and enjoys an edge.

Bank Manager and Little Sunny should follow him for places.

A card of nine races with three to be run over six furlongs and the rest over five have been chalked out for the day.

The first race begins at 1.00 p.m.

Taneez who won by 2 ¼ lengths in the Independence Day meeting, looks poised to dictate terms in the second five furlongs race with twelve runners in fray.

Bay mare Roop Ki Rani and half bred bay horse Chand Aiya should battle it out for second and third positions.

Three-year old bay filly Queen Of Sanghar who was piloted home to victory on two successive occasions by jockey Ghulam Shabbir 11 last month, looks a good thing to run away with the honours in the third race.

Three-year old colt Leopard and three-year old filly Arabian Queen should settle for a place.

Owned by Shah Mardan Shah Pir Pagara, chestnut Patricia, drawn against five runners, should live up to her reputation in the fourth race of the afternoon.

The six furlongs race is restricted to Pakistani horses in Class V.

Six-year old bay horse Donatello owned by Mr. Yahya Shahid should win the fifth race. He should be followed by Sculptor and Leo.

Seven horses are in contention for the honours in the six furlongs race.

Ten-year old Khush Nazar looks fancy to clinch the sixth race while four-year old filly Clapping looks certain to dominate the seventh race.

The seventh race will have maximum number of fourteen runners.

Leo Again, the four-year old half-bred colt, and bay mare Sonia should do their owners proud in the last two races.
