RAWALPINDI: An air-hostess of a private airline was injured after a passenger on board hurled his mobile phone at her during the flight from Dubai to Islamabad, aviation authorities said on Friday.

The passenger threw his mobile phone at the air-hostess which left a cut on her forehead. Shortly after the incident occurred, the pilot informed the Air Traffic Control about the passenger.

On receiving the emergency call, the duty terminal manager along with doctor rushed to the scene.

The authorities said flight PA-217 from Dubai landed at Islamabad International Airport at 7:30pm after which the passenger was taken into custody by the Airport Security Force (ASF).

The injured crew member was treated by the doctor. The air-hostess required stitches but she chose to go to a plastic surgeon.

According to the doctors, the passenger was mentally unstable.
