Housing scheme

Published January 23, 2020

THE Model Town Housing Scheme, Sargodha, spread over 410 acres, was initiated in 1991 by the Sargodha Improvement Trust (SIT).

Despite the passage of more than 28 years, more than 3,000 allottees who paid the cost of land and development charges are the victim of the management’s callousness who had promised to hand over possession of the plots in five years, in 1996 or 1997.

Recently, the newly established Sargodha Development Authority has been given charge of this dormant society. The affected allottees are now wondering as to how many years the SDA will take to complete the work and transfer the plots to allottees waiting for the last 30 years.

This is a request to the SDA to revive and complete this housing scheme on an urgent basis.
