KHUZDAR: Two polio workers, including a woman, were killed in a accident in Mastung on Monday.
Levies officials said that polio worker Haji Nizamuddin Qambrani was returning to Mastung along with the lady worker in a vehicle after administrating polio drops to children in the Killi Khud-Kocha area when a truck hit their vehicle on the Quetta-Karachi Highway.
The two workers suffered serious injuries and were taken to Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Memorial Hospital by Levies personnel, but they died before receiving any medical aid.
A case has been registered against the truck driver and further investigation is under way.
