US aggression

Published January 19, 2020

THIS refers to the attack on Baghdad airport and assassination of Iranian military commander Maj-Gen Qassem Soleimani by the US. I am amazed that a developed and civilised country acted in such an irresponsible manner, threatening to attack civilians and cultural sites inside Iran. On the other hand Iran, a victim of America’s irresponsible act, has vowed to take revenge without targeting civilians.

Iran launched an attack on two US military bases in Iraq but no casualties were reported and both parties finally have de-escalated.

Later, the Ukrainian plane tragedy occurred, putting Iran on the defensive. Apparently, it was shot down mistakenly by Iran, killing all 176 passengers, crew onboard, including more than 80 Iranian citizens. Although it looks like a conspiracy to pressure Iran, the reality is yet to be revealed.

War is a dangerous game and it is not fought by nations, but mostly by the pathetic leaders who put their nations’ peace, prosperity and its progress at sake.
