KARACHI: Dr Essa Abdullah XI beat Michael Turner XI in the inaugural festival basketball match to launch the 4th Essa Lab Basketball Cup here at the Arambagh court on Sunday night.

Displaying fantastic game, Dr Essa Abdullah XI beat Michael Turner XI 47-22. Hamza Perwani (11 points), Hamza Khwaja (10 points) and Nofil Ali and Humayoun Aslam (6 points each) were the main scorers for the winners.

For the losing side, Shariq Suleman (13 points) played superbly. He was well assisted by Hasan Ali Jr (11 points) and Raheel Mubeen (10 points).

Syeda Itrat Hassan, Assistant Manager Corporate Relations, was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion she said essa Laboratories are trying to ensure top level health facilities to people in the city besides supporting all sports events.
