DADU, Aug 12: The executive district officer health has ordered an enquiry into the four suspected polio cases detected in Dadu taluka on Friday. The suspected cases of polio were identified as Amina, 13, Nadeem, 11, nine-year-old Nadir and five-year-old Waheed, resident of Haji Hussain Lund village, Dadu taluka.

Mohammad Safar, father of the children, informed health officials that he had suspected polio infection to his children in the early childhood. On the orders of EDO Health Dr Dhani Bux Thebo, a team of doctors examined the children. The team took their blood samples for the biopsy tests.

Father of the children, Mohammad Safar Lund, claimed that he had taken his children to different hospitals since years, but the doctors did not pay proper attention to them.

He demanded better health facilities to polio-hit children. The EDO Health, Dr Dhani Bux Thebo, said that the team of doctors had visited the village and provided treatment to the affected children.— Correspondent
