DERA MURAD JAMALI: A large number of political workers and local leaders of different political parties on Sunday joined the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP).
Adviser to the Chief Minister on Education and senior BAP leader Mohammad Khan Lehri and former minister Abdul Ghafoor Lehri and several party leaders were present on the occasion.
Speaking at a ceremony held in the Tambo area of Dera Murad Jamali, Mohammad Khan Lehri announced various development projects, including water supply and road from Dera Murad Jamali to Manjo Shoori and Ghfoorabad to Faizabad. He said that work on these projects would be started soon at a cost of Rs993 million.
He also announced up-gradation of girls school and said that the government of Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan was making all out efforts to resolve the issues being faced by the people of far-flung areas of the province.
He said the present government would complete its five-year term and fulfil all promises made by the BAP leadership with the people.
The people, who announced their unconditional joining of the BAP, include Ustad Atta Mohammad Umrani, former Union Council Nazim Rais Shoakat Fatahani Umrani, Mohammad Salahuddin Umrani, Ghulam Ali Umrani, Ustad Hadi Bakhsh Mizrahi and senior leader of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl Dr Abdul Qadir Jattak.
They expressed full confidence in the leadership of Jam Kamal Khan Alyani and Mohammad Khan Lehri and said that they had joined the BAP unconditionally.
