SIALKOT: A widow, along with her accomplices, shot dead the alleged killer of her son at Buttar village on the night between Saturday and Sunday -- seven years after the horrific incident.

Police said she committed the crime with the help of her another son and two accomplices and claimed that she had exacted revenge for the murder of her son.

Nauman had shot dead Azeem, son of widow Perveen Bibi, over a minor dispute in 2012. Police arrested Nauman and registered a case against him. The woman moved sessions court which convicted the youngster of murder and handed down death sentence.

The convict challenged the decision in courts and finally the case landed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) which freed Nauman for want of evidence.

Locals say Perveen Bibi had sworn that she would not wear shoes till exacting revenge of her son’s murder.

Police said the woman, her son Tasleem and their two accomplices hatched a plan to kill their rival and made it to his outhouse where they shot him dead.

The Saddar police shifted the body to the Government Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital for autopsy and started investigation.
