Cricket carnival in Karachi ahead of PSL 2020

KARACHI: The city administration has made a plan to celebrate the 2020 Pakistan Super League T20 event through the Karachi Cricket Carnival which will take place before the start of the PSL, it was announced on Tuesday.

The announcement was made by Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani in a press briefing held at his office.

Other international home series of the season, including the Sri Lanka series and the likely series against Bangladesh, will also be celebrated through the festivity in which the city will be decorated.

The commissioner said the carnival events will include different cultural and sports activities. These planned activities include food festivals, cultural and art events, shopping festival and sports events.

He particularly emphasised the PSL inaugural ceremony and the matches that will be played in the city.

The carnival will provide citizens of Karachi joy and festivities besides sending the message of peace and love to the cricketing world, Shallwani said.
