LAHORE: After their poor show on the tour to Australia, pacers Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Irfan and left-arm spinner Imad Wasim have been called for an eight-day fitness camp here at the National Cricket Academy. The camp starts on Nov 18.
All three were the part of the Pakistan T20 squad who were ruthlessly whitewashed by Australia 2-0 in the three-match series.
The three cricketers along with some other players performed miserably against the rampaging Aussies who mauled all Pakistan bowlers. Irfan, Imad and Amir could bag one wicket each in the series while rest of the touring bowlers remained wicketless. The camp will be supervised by PCB director medical and sports sciences Dr Sohail Saleem.
Other flopped players in Australia — Shadab Khan (Northern), Fakhar Zaman (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) and untested Usman Qadir (Central Punjab) — are available for selection to their respective sides for the four-day Quaid-e-Azam Trophy matches and are exempted from the fitness camp.
