GWADAR: Pakistan Coast Guards seized 2,600 kilograms of top quality hashish and arrested two suspected smugglers during a raid at Turbat Road of Gwadar district on Monday.

Officials of Pakistan Coast Guards said that action against drug smugglers was taken on a tip-off.

The worth of the seized hashish was estimated to be Rs2,850 million in the international market.

The officials said that a suspicious dumper was stopped on Shahjahan chec-kpost near Neelant area of Gwadar and during the search hashish was recovered from hidden portions of the vehicle.

Initial investigation revealed that the drug were being smuggled abroad through the Makran coast.
