CHAKWAL: Two persons were killed while one sustained injuries after their car rammed into a bus near Balkassar Interchange on Sunday.

According to police and Rescue 1122 officials, Gulzar Ahmed, 40, Mohammad Iliyas, 45, and Sufi Javed, 78, all residents of Rawat, were on their way to Miyal village in Talagang tehsil. When their car was passing by Balkassar Interchange on Chakwal-Talagang Road, it rammed into a passenger bus coming from the opposite direction. Gulzar and Ilyas died on the spot while Javed was injured.

Rescue 1122 personnel reached the spot and retrieved the bodies after cutting the wreckage of the car. The bodies and the injured person were shifted to City Hospital Talagang.

A police official told Dawn that the heirs of the deceased have not filed any application with the police as the two parties had reconciled.
