Trump’s tweet

Published October 18, 2019

IN a recent tweet to Turkey in northern Syria, President Donald Trump used the overbearing words “In my great and unmatched wisdom” for himself.

The world is no stranger to such prideful remarks by the US president. Apparently, Trump is suffering from the Dunning-Kruger effect, which is defined as ‘a person overstating his/her cognitive abilities than they are’. The recent tweet by him speaks for itself.

The real context of the tweet aptly illustrates the wanton disregard the president holds for his strategic partners. Trump threatening Turkey to destroy it economically in case of non-compliance is unnerving.

His aides should scrutinise their head of state’s language.
