GILGIT: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur has accused the Gilgit-Baltistan government of hatching conspiracies against the federal government led by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.

Speaking at a public gathering in Skardu, he said that GB Chief Minister Hafeezur Rehman had failed to deliver. The federal minister said the GB government had no authority to create new districts and the announcement in this regard was illegal.

He said the federal government had never created any problem for the GB government.

“The federal government has not reduced any funding to the projects in the region, he said.

Mr Gandapur said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government would meet the demands of GB people, including settlement of constitutional status of the region. Speaking on the occasion, PTI’s Gilgit-Baltistan president Syed Jaffar Shah said there is massive corruption in government institutions of GB.
