QUETTA: In Balochistan, 2,527 dengue cases were reported this year.
According to the Director General of Health, Kamalan Gichki, most of the cases were reported from Lasbela, Gwadar and Kech districts.
“Ninety-one cases of dengue have been reported in September alone,” he said, adding that medical teams had been sent to affected areas of the province to attend to the problem. Thankfully, he said, no death had been reported from any of the area.
He said departments concerned were fulfilling their responsibilities to control dengue in the province.
“We are keeping a vigilant eye on the situation and taking all possible steps to prevent the disease from spreading,” Dr Kamalan said.
