MITHI: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Sindh general secretary Maulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro has advised Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to join in his party’s decisive drive against the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government “instead of going for a clandestine deal” with certain quarters.

He was speaking to participants of JUI-F workers’ convention in Chhachhro on Friday.

He claimed that the masses had become fed up with the PTI government imposed on them and they were waiting for a signal from genuine political leadership to stand up against it.

He observed that the unprecedented price hike caused by the “heartless” rulers had broken the back of the poor and, as such, the masses wanted to get rid of the “incompetent selected dispensation”.

Maulana Soomro said that his party had planned the Islamabad lockdown as per the aspiration of the masses.

He warned the federal government against any move to amend certain clauses of the Constitution, saying that all such attempts would be resisted tooth and nail.

He also called for reining in those outfits which were involved in conversion of Hindus by exploiting their issue of poverty.

The JUI-F leader asked party workers to stay prepared for a last push to the “inept” dispensation.
