Pakistan became a part of global protests on climate change, being one of 120 countries to go on a climate strike.

With around 26 cities in the country participating, environmentally-conscious citizens set out to the streets to demand action from their government to address the ecological crisis and rein in carbon emissions before it is too late to reverse the damage.

Among the civilians were many Pakistani celebs who joined the march to support the cause.

Anoushey Ashraf encouraged all to join

Make PK Saaf everywhere. Control plastic use and act on Climate change initiatives. May be hard but there is no Plan B with nature which we are abusing.

While the efforts are commendable, what happens to the plastic posters printed for this cause once the March is finished? Just a suggestion - protests should be environment friendly just so the message gets across in a more meaningful way.

Climate Change looming on our head. We can only support by minimising emissions from from motor cars, motor cycles, Chingque 4 passenger auto rickshaw, rickshaw, CNG/diesel coaches, buses. What we do if we don't use car, motor cycle, rickshaw, buses with CNG/diesel. The change/solution to switch to EV (Electric Vehicle) car, motor cycle, Rickshaw, Chingque, which will have no toxic emissions, will be noiseless, will require least maintenance, will be cheap, will be durable, will be in conformity to the UN Climate Change recommendations. The year 2020 will have a major outcome for the availability at very low prices, worldwide, and Pakistan as well. From China, Germany, US, Europe, Pakistan could lead the world for adoption. The Bicycle Track has to be laid with recycling of plastic bottles to use bicycle track for bicycle track exclusively for bicycles. Pakistan could lead the world by collaborating with China to come forward for manufacturing, assembling and exports worldwide
