NAUDERO: A man allegedly shot his wife over a domestic dispute in Hassan Wahan village near Naudero on Monday.

Her parents and relatives told local reporters that Ameer Channa had been at odds with Sumera and the couple often quarrelled over different issues. On Monday, they said, Ameer shot her and fled their home. His brother, Pervez Channa, took her to the area’s rural health centre, where doctors referred her to the Chandka Medical College Hospital.

The 25-year-old victim, Sumera Channa, was admitted for treatment of her gunshot wound she suffered in her arm.

Sumera’s uncle, Ghulam Nabi Channa, said an attempted murder case against Ameer Channa was lodged at the police station concerned but he was yet to be arrested.
