Games rescheduled

LAHORE, Aug 1: The second India-Pakistan Punjab Games have been rescheduled from Dec 24 to 30 to Dec 18 to 25. The decision was taken in a high level meeting on Monday. Punjab Olympic Association secretary Idris Haider Khawaja said that the dates had been changed on the proposal of the Indian Punjab Olympic Association.

He said that the Punjab government had also approved a fund of Rs 40.50 million to organise the games in a befitting manner.

In all, 18 disciplines will be held in the weeklong gala.

Besides handball discipline which will be held in Faisalabad, all the other games will be held in Lahore.
