KARACHI: A massive fire broke out in the office of Sindh Women Development Minister Shehla Raza on Friday afternoon.

The fire erupted in the office in the Old Sindh Secretariat in which a number of documents and other items were gutted.

Ms Raza was not in the office when the fire broke out. All members of staff present in the office were safely evacuated.

According to a private news channel the fire was caused by a short circuit.

The fire created panic among the people living around the building.

Fire brigade and rescue teams reached the site and extinguished the fire.

No loss of life was reported.
