Faisal mosque

THIS refers to poor conditions at one of the largest mosques in Pakistan, Faisal Mosque, Islamabad. Last month, I visited the mosque but, sadly, could not offer Friday prayers there because of dirty washrooms.

Although the mosque walls had cleanliness-related Hadiths, the mosque administration seems least bothered about enforcing these edicts. The public which is to blame for this mess should behave responsibly.

The mosque management must look into this and impose fines on visitors for littering and not following rules for maintaining cleanliness. To make it more convenient for the public, the visitors and worshippers’ washrooms should be separated.
