ABBOTTABAD: Hazara DIG Mohammad Ali Babakhel has directed the district police officers to keep a vigilant eye on the progress and performance of SHOs in their respective areas.

He said this while reviewing the performance of 57 SHOs in Hazara here on Wednesday. He said that SHOs who had shown excellent performance during July and August would be rewarded while show-cause notices would be issued to those officers whose performance remained below expectations.

Performance of Hattar SHO SI Chanzeb Khan and SHO of police station Pattan of Lower Kohistan, SI Khalilur Rehman, was declared outstanding in July 2019. In August, the performance of SI Sajid Farooque of police station Sara-i-Saleh, Haripur, and SI Zarin Taj of police station Batera, district Palas Kohistan, remained outstanding.

Cash awards and certificates were recommended for them while performance of some other officers of different police stations of Hazara division was declared satisfactory. At least 18 more officers were given commendation certificates.

The DIG has asked all the DPOs to keep a close watch on the performance of other police staff and ensure better liaison with the public.

He warned that no slackness would be tolerated in discharge of official duties.
