Update BISP

Published September 1, 2019

THE Benazir Income Support Programme was launched by the federal government back in 2008. It is a social welfare programme through which the most vulnerable people, who earn less than Rs300 per day, get financial support of approximately Rs5,000 each month.

It has been 11 years since the authorities did not check the status of the beneficiaries. There could be a lot of changes in this period. I personally know of some people in my village who do not need BISP anymore but are still getting it. On the other hand, a lot of people need BISP but do not have access to it.
