KARACHI: The Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) has asked the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to change the format of draft tax return of income for individuals and association of persons (AoPs) for tax year 2019.

In a letter addressed to FBR, the KTBA said the forms or returns of income are in PDF and therefore it was not possible to check the document’s validity.

Further, the bar said since the board has given one week time for soliciting views and suggestions before the finalisation of the SRO951 in the official gazette, therefore it was requested that the draft tax returns should be provided in offline/demo mode along with formula or at least in MS Excel format.
