SHEIKHUPURA: Two brothers and their cousin drowned in the canal near Chander Kot village on Saturday.

Brothers Zubair, 26, and Arslan, 24, and their cousin Yehya, 28, all of Islampura, were retrieved dead from the canal by Rescue 1122.

They had come to Nankana Sahib to visit the Gurdwara Janam Asthan, their families said.

Some passersby alerted Rescue 1122 when they saw a motorcycle and clothes lying along the canal bank.

The Nankana police started investigation and handed over bodies to the families after completing the legal process.

According to the Ferozewala police, Rahil quarrelled with his stepbrother Adnan and later shot him dead.

The police started investigation.

In another incident, two gunmen snatched Rs700,000 from trader Zafar Iqbal in Rachna Town. The Ferozewala police started investigation.
