LAHORE: A man allegedly shot dead his neighbour and injured another over a petty issue in Manawan area here on Wednesday.
According to initial police reports, Nauman and his neighbour Rahil of Jamshed Town scuffled over sharing jokes. Rahil left the place, returned with a pistol and opened fire on Nauman and his friend Lalu and fled the scene.
Both the injured were rushed to a local hospital where Nauman succumbed to his injuries while the condition of Lalu was stated to be stable.
Police shifted the body of the deceased to the city morgue for autopsy and lodged a case against the suspected killer for further investigation.
