SAHIWAL: The Chak Bedian police on Wednesday registered a murder case against four people who shot dead two brothers and critically injured their parents in Pakpattan’s 67/D village.

Four armed men entered Allah Ditta’s house after scaling the boundary wall and opened fire killing his sons Sarfraz and Allah Yar. Allah Ditta and his wife were injured. The assailants escaped in the darkness.

Police said initial investigation showed that the family had rivalry.

SWINDLE: Two young men deprived an old man of thousands of rupees by using his ATM card near Farid Town.

Muhammad Hussain, a resident of Harrapa, was trying to get money from NBP’s ATM machine and two youngsters offered him help.

They got Rs36,500 from the bank account of the gullible person and fled.

The Farid Town police registered a fraud case against the suspects.
