KARACHI, July 29: Police on early Friday morning arrested a group of outlaws in Kemari Town for allegedly hatching a plan to kill an MPA. DSP Irfan Bahadur said that on information, the Industrial Crime Unit raided a hideout in Gulshan-i-Sikandarabad in Kemari and arrested three suspects identified as Zareen Khan, Sher Bahadar and Wahid Gul.

The suspects are linked to Sartaj alias Sartaja, who is in jail now. Sher Bahadur is brother of Sartaj. The three were planning to eliminate Pakistan People’s Party MPA Akhtar Jadoon, DSP Aslam Khan told Dawn.

They are wanted in about 45 criminal cases of murder, attempt to murder, and land grabbing, drug peddling and oil pilferage.

A kalashnikov, two TT pistols and 5kg hashish were seized from them, police said. Cases against them were registered in the Boating Basin, Clifton, Jackson, Korangi and Landhi police stations, police said.
