PIA flights’landing

Published January 15, 2002

KARACHI, Jan 14: The PIA’s flights operating out of Islamabad to London and Manchester are required to make technical landing at Lahore or Karachi.

Giving reasons for this technical stopover, a PIA spokesman said the Islamabad runway had been reduced because of the barriers put at the end of the runway adjoining the PAF base.

In view of this reduced length of the runway, the bigger aircraft cannot take off with full load.

Therefore, the load is taken on the aircraft at Lahore and Karachi.—APP
