ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday (today) and address its Legislative Assembly to express solidarity with the Kashmiris on the occasion of 72nd Independence Day of Pakistan.

During his visit to AJK, the prime minister will also meet senior Kashmiri leaders.

On the directives of the prime minister it has been decided that a big rally would be staged in Islamabad on Wednesday (today) to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

Prime Minister Khan is visiting AJK in the backdrop of recent developments in India where the government has revoked Article 370 of the Constitution, abolishing special status of Occupied Kashmir and making it part of India. Aggression and tyranny of Indian armed forces against innocent Kashmiris has been on the rise over the past few days.
