PESHAWAR: A jeep rally was arranged in Peshawar on Tuesday in order to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and condemn the brutalities of India army on the innocent people and illegal annexation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The jeep rally, which was led by Peshawar deputy commissioner Mohammad Ali Asghar, started from sports complex Hayatabad Township and terminated at the same point after passing through on different roads including GT Road, University Road and Azadi Flyover. The participants holding national flags were also shouting slogans in support of Kashmiris.
“We are with our Kashmiri brethren and will continue our unconditional support to them till their freedom,” the deputy commissioner said while talking to mediapersons and added that the jeep rally was a unique activity which was appreciated by the people.
The rally, he said, would convey a positive message to the world that the people across Pakistan were supporting the innocent Kashmiris. He also condemned the recent use of cluster munition against the civilian population of Azad Kashmir by Indian forces.
