SHEIKHUPURA: Five people, including two members of a family, were killed while as many others sustained injuries in a road accident here on Monday near Mauza Bhikhi, some 14-km on Faisalabad Road.

Reports said the victims riding a rickshaw were on their way to Feroz Wattowan when a speeding mini-truck hit it near Bhikhi as a result Azam, his three-year-old daughter Mehwish, Amina Bibi, Haleema Bibi and Nazar Muhammad sustained critical injuries and died on way to hospital.

Razia Bibi, Ashiq Hussain, Zeeshan and Azra sustained injuries and were shifted to the local DHQ Hospital. The truck driver managed his escape. Bhikhi police are looking into the matter.
