THIS is with reference to the obituary ‘Poet Himayat Ali Shaer passes away’ (July 17).
In the second paragraph of the obituary it says that the poet was born in Aurangabad in British India. Now, Aurangabad was not in British India but in the Nizam’s dominion also known as the state of Hyderabad Deccan.
I would like to add that the obituary abruptly ends without enlightening us as to why and when he migrated to Canada and what he was doing there.
