THE Walt Disney Company has got the ball rolling in Shanghai, Paris and Tokyo. Wouldn’t it be great if Disney was convinced to set up a Disneyland or Disneyworld resort in Muzaffarabad?
This will automatically increase tourism in the area, give way to an upgradation of the airport and improve the infrastructure.
Once Disney steps-in, others such as Hilton, Sheraton and Marriott will follow. In order to make Muzaffarabad more accessible, Disney and the government can focus on building more highways and better roads. A great example of this is Anaheim, California, and the John Wayne Airport in Orange County — both are major beneficiaries of Disneyland in Southern California.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and Lord Nazir of the UK need to convince Disney to open an amusement park in Muzaffarabad.
Not only will it increase tourism within the country, it will encourage people from other countries around Pakistan to visit as well.
