LAHORE: A four-wicket haul by Ali Hasan helped West Zone Whites beat North Zone Greens by 74 runs in the first semi-final of the LRCA Inter-zonal U-16 One-day Cricket Tournament here at the LCCA Ground on Friday.

Ali, who took four wickets for 24 runs, was declared man-of-the-match.

Chasing a target of 193, the Greens collapsed to 118 all out in 30.2 overs mainly due to some fine bowling by Ali and Usman Shahid (3-12). Earlier batting first, West Zone Whites posted 192-9 with Usman Irshaad crafting a half-century.

The second semi-final between West Zone Blues and North Zone Reds will be held on Saturday at the same venue.
