LAHORE: Pakistan marched into the final of the 14th West Asia Baseball Cup in great style by handing arch-rivals India 13-2 in their last-four clash in Colombo on Thursday.

According to the details provided by the Pakistan Federation Baseball, Pakistan earned a two-run lead in the first innings before increasing it to a commanding 11-0 in the next five innings.

India finally ended their barren run by scoring twice in the seventh innings but Pakistan then added a brace before wrapping up the second semi-final.

Fazal-ur-Rehman scored three runs, while scorers were Faqir Hussain, Mohammad Abdullah and Arsalan Jam­shed with two runs apiece with Obaidullah, Zakir Afridi, Asad Ali and Sumair Zawar contributing one apiece.

Pakistan’s opponents in Saturday’s title-deciding fixture will be hosts Sri Lanka.
