LAHORE: Pakistan marched into the final of the 14th West Asia Baseball Cup in great style by handing arch-rivals India 13-2 in their last-four clash in Colombo on Thursday.
According to the details provided by the Pakistan Federation Baseball, Pakistan earned a two-run lead in the first innings before increasing it to a commanding 11-0 in the next five innings.
India finally ended their barren run by scoring twice in the seventh innings but Pakistan then added a brace before wrapping up the second semi-final.
Fazal-ur-Rehman scored three runs, while scorers were Faqir Hussain, Mohammad Abdullah and Arsalan Jamshed with two runs apiece with Obaidullah, Zakir Afridi, Asad Ali and Sumair Zawar contributing one apiece.
Pakistan’s opponents in Saturday’s title-deciding fixture will be hosts Sri Lanka.
