THIS refers to the letter ‘No ATM in Mand’ (July 6). There is no denying the fact that various cities of Balochistan have no ATM facilities. As a consequence, residents face a kit if issues, and many travel to another city to withdraw money in an emergency as bank only work from 9am to 5pm.

Besides Mand, there are other places like Dasht and Awaran where there is no ATM. We might be living in 2019, but the people of Balochistan still have to walk a hundred or more kilometres to take out money.

This is not a safe thing to do in the province either as the possibility of getting mugged are quite high.

I request the provincial and federal government to look into this and make our lives easier.
