KOHAT: The government has enforced e-governance through the performance management and reforms unit (PMRU) in Orakzai district for the first time in tribal areas.

An official statement issued here said that deputy director of PMRU Dr Mohammad Aqif Khan speaking at a one-day training workshop on Wednesday apprised the officials of transparency, accountability and services delivery strategy of open kutcheris for resolution of people’s problems on their doorstep.

The workshop was attended by deputy commissioner, Orakzai district, Khalid Iqbal Wazir, additional deputy commissioner Khalid Iqbal, assistant commissioner, Lower Orakzai, Abbas Afridi, assistant commissioner, Upper Orakzai, Haider Hussain and heads of lines departments.

Dr Aqif explained the performance reporting system, good governance framework, KP inspection App, citizen portal and revenue case tracking system. He asked them to regularly hold open forums for resolution of people’s problems.
