MUZAFFARGARH: Pakistan Muslim League-N MPA Malik Qasim Hinjra has ruled out his joining the ‘forward bloc.’
Talking to Dawn on Monday, Hinjra said he had a meeting with Chief Minister Usman Buzdar at the assembly and he rejected his offer to join Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.
Malik Naseer Hinjra, his younger brother, said: “Usman Buzdar is our neighbour and we have relations with him since decades but we will not from the PML-N.”
Former MNA and chief of Hinjra family, Sultan Hinjra, said his nephew Qasim met with the chief minister and discussed constituency matters while Buzdar asked him (Qasim) to go to Banigala but he refused to do so.
Naseer Hinjra said his family was busy in the next local government election campaign while the PTI government had failed to provide relief to the people. He claimed that his family had earlier rejected offers to join PTI during general elections.
Malik Naseer said his brother (Qasim) had assured the chief minister of his support [individually] if Buzdar needed him.
On the other hand, a reliable source said PML-N MPA from Muzaffargarh Azhar Chandia was also present at the Banigala meeting and he would join the PTI soon. Mr Chandia could not be contacted as his cell phone was powered off.
A PTI MPA claimed that he [Hinjra] had visited Banigala and met with the prime minister in the presence of Usman Buzdar and he would announce joining the PTI after a month.
