Saif Ali Khan's having a good year.

The actor is all set to return to Netflix with the second season of Sacred Games and is currently shooting Jaawani Jaaneman with Tabu. Mumbai Mirror is now reporting that the actor has signed another flick already: a gritty drama based on the true story of Delhi's Dr. Uzma Ahmed who allegedly fell in love with a Pakistani cab driver, Tahir Ali in Malaysia.

When she arrived in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, she discovered that Ali was already married with four children. She then claimed that she was forced to marry him on gun point and was subjected to torture. Uzma and Ali had subsequently filed petitions in the Islamabad High Court.

While the former had requested to be repatriated to India, Ali had asked to be allowed to meet his wife. The IHC eventually allowed Uzma to return to India via Wagah border.

Khan will be playing Islamabad's Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh who, along with Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, was instrumental in getting Uzma home.

Ritesh Shah of Pink fame is adapting the story for the big screen whereas Shivam Nair will be directing. The filmmakers are still on the hunt to cast Uzma's role; no release date has been announced yet but the movie's production is expected to hit floors early next year.

I guess Bollywood is running out of usual song & dance routine movies. If any thing Indians are attracted to, anything related to Pakistan. You can bet the movie will be exploitative tainted with exaggeration .

Anything negative reflects on Pakistan, India is quick to take advantage and turn into flicks with half baked truths.

Another anti-Pakistan movie? The person in question who forcefully married Urzma is not the typical Pakistani man and I hope the audience understand this. It is not like Pakistani men with wife and 4 children are lining up to marry Indian-Muslims.

Talent of this man is under utilised by Bollywood. He is far superior then all other Khans in adaptation and delivery. Proved whatever little chances he got. He is becoming a virtual star with his maturity. I like him.

@Danish "failed actor trying to revive his sinking career by making anti-Pakistan movies" Really. Saif, failed actor? He has great hits under his belt, but what would you know? His recent Sacred Games is one of Netflix's most popular serials. I guess for some of you, facts and truth are always anti-Pakistan.

How you can judge the movie without watching it. Subscribers of Netflix have many content to choose and they are not going to waste their time on any content just because of anti Pakistan propoganda. Now a days so many streaming service like Netflix, Amazon, HBO who has time to watch every thing.
