LAHORE: A teenage boy who was beaten and sexually assaulted a few days ago died at the Mayo Hospital on Tuesday.

The police said 18-year-old (AR), of Gujranwala, was called for a job at a shoe factory in Manawan.

Police said his three friends took him to a hotel on June 21 where they beat and assaulted him. He suffered critical wounds and was taken to hospital where he died after four days of treatment.

The police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and also included murder charges in the case.

Cantonment Division Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhammad Asim said that they had arrested three suspects, including the hotel owner.

DIES: A woman succumbed to her acid burn injuries at Mayo Hospital on Tuesday.

Police said Nazia, of Shahdara, received 80 per cent burn injuries after her husband Waheed threw acid on her over a domestic issue.

The police arrested the suspect after registering a case.
