PPP AND PTI AT ODDS: Relations between partners of the main ruling coalition in the district, PPP and PTI, became tense over the harsh remarks of district nazim Iqbal Hussain against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The remarks of the nazim, who is PPP’s district president, triggered a war of words between activists of both parties.

Mr Hussain had criticised the premier during a demonstration here against the arrest of his party leader, Asif Zardari. The PTI workers held meetings in Serai Gambila and Tajazai the other day to resent the nazim’s remarks.
