BANNU: Poliovirus has been detected in a 17-month-old boy in the Bachaki Janikhel area of Bannu, raising the number of polio cases to eight in the district during the last one-and-a-half-year.
Sources said that the parents of the affected boy were extremely poor.
They said that the boy had probably missed receiving oral vaccine during the anti-polio drives.
