TIMERGARA: The traders in Khall tehsil on Monday announced to hold protest demonstrations on June 13 (Thursday) against the local administration for imposing ‘unnecessary’ taxes on them. The announcement was made during a meeting of the Anjuman-i-Tajaran Khall with its president Akhunzada Hameed ur Rehman in the chair.

On the occasion, Mr Rehman, the traders’ body vice president Haji Shah Zarin, general secretary Mujib ur Rehman and others alleged that the Khall municipal administration had imposed unnecessary and illegal taxes on traders. They said the traders were not ready to accept the taxes. The meeting decided to observe complete shutter down strike against the imposition of taxes on traders on June 13 and hold protest demonstration against the local administration. The traders’ leaders also asked local transporters to support them and observe wheel-jam the same day. They said the protest would continue until the administration reviewed its decision.
