Elderly man ‘stoned to death’ in Swabi

SWABI: An aged person was allegedly stoned to death in Jhanda village here on Friday for having illicit relations with a woman, said police.

The incident occurred in Geedarh area.

Registering an FIR in the city police station, Waleed Rehman, son of the deceased, said he was informed by his relatives that his father had been killed at one of their relatives’ house, where he had gone.

The complainant said when he reached there his white-bearded father was brutally killed by Khayal Mohammad and his two sons, Manzoor Khan and Tariq Khan. He said the man and his sons stoned his father to death.

He said there were multiple wounds on the body of his father and demanded arrest of the accused.

Sources said the deceased and accused Khayal Mohammad were discussing relations of a woman that they started exchanging hot words.

Later, they said the accused along with his sons started beating the victim.
