QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Saturday issued directives to commissioners and deputy commissioners to suggest development projects for promotion of tourism.

Mr Alyani also directed the local administration to pay attention to tourism by providing facilities at parks and recreational places in their respective districts.

He said the provincial government had decided to take special measures for developing maximum number of places in Balochistan, which had a huge potential to attract tourists as it has a long coastline.

He said steps would be taken to improve facilities at tourist spots in all divisional and districts headquarters, which would help generate revenue for the province. “Promotion of tourism is one of the top priorities of the Balochistan government,” he said, adding that several projects would be included in the next year’s public sector development programme.
