SHANGLA: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Shangla chapter, president Abdul Munim has said that work on the road projects here would be started soon.

Talking to mediapersons here on Thursday, he said that in a recent meeting Chief Minister Mahmood Khan had approved funds for the pending road projects of PK-24, Shangla-II.

He added that funds were approved for the link roads of Pishlor, Kabalgram, Bayna, Enawar, Awarai, Kadoona, Mandoria, Faiza Algram, Alami Banda and Machkandai areas of Puran, Makhozay and Martung tehsils.

Mr Munim said that the chief minister would visit Puran after Eidul Fitr and announce mega projects for the district.

ARRESTED: Police on Thursday arrested two persons for their involvement in killing of two cousins at Taloon area of Chakesar tehsil the other day.

Police said that the suspects Mohammad Umar and Mohammad Tayab were arrested from their houses in Taloon.

SHO Afzal Khan told this scribe that apparently the incident seemed to be that of honour killing.

He, however, said that they registered the case and had started investigations.

Meanwhile, the district administration, Shangla, banned the sale of firecrackers and toy guns for the next two months.

According to a notification, the violators would be punished according to the law. On this occasion, the deputy commissioner, Shangla, urged the shopkeepers to refrain from selling firecrackers and toy guns and cooperate with police in this regard.
