LAHORE: PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Husain has asked the opposition to better help the government in revival of the economy instead of launching a protest drive against it after Eid.

“The opposition parties intend to launch a movement against the government and Prime Minister Imran Khan after Eid for which an agenda is being worked out. I request them, especially those present in the parliament, to better work for the revival of national economy,” he said in a statement here on Wednesday.

He said the government and the opposition would have to sit together and pull the country out of economic crisis because it was already in the grip of many crisis, including terrorism in which the army was fulfilling its duty and the parliament should also play its role particularly enforcement of the National Action Plan. He said the political leadership, including himself, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Asif Ali Zardari, Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif and others had signed NAP.
